This year's Water Follies has a near-perfect track record so far, officials said. The event has been "very smooth" in Columbia Park, said Kennewick police Sgt. Ken Lattin. Officers did not detain anyone and caught nobody driving intoxicated at the event.
On the other side of the river, the crowd was equally well-behaved, said Pasco police Sgt. Brent Cook.
Medics tended to a few heat-related illnesses, but had "very slow" work days Friday and Saturday, said Battalion Chief Mike Barnett of Kennewick Fire and Rescue. Nobody was taken from the site by ambulance, he said.
Police said the crowd appeared to be smaller than in years past, but had no estimates of its size.
