PASCO -- A 27-year-old Pasco woman was found guilty of assaulting her infant daughter more than three years ago.
Olga Shved will be sentenced Dec. 8 for first-degree assault of a child.
Franklin County Superior Court jurors returned the guilty verdict Tuesday. They deliberated for about an hour Monday and most of the day Tuesday. The trial began Nov. 4.
Shved was charged almost a year after numerous injuries were found on her daughter in June 2006 when paramedics were called to her home for a report the infant may have stopped breathing.
The baby, born Feb. 4, 2006, was found with make-up covering a bruise on her left eye.
Doctors later found numerous scratches on the infant's body and fractures to the arm, thigh and ribs that were at least two weeks old, court documents said.
The girl also reportedly had two subdural hematomas and skull fractures that happened within days or hours of the hospitalization.
Shved had claimed the baby slipped out of her hands during a bath.
