AARP driving classes scheduled in November

AARP is holding Senior Driving Classes in November.

The accumulated eight-hour refresher classes allow seniors to update their driving knowledge. Classes cost $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers.

They are scheduled:

w Monday and Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, 888 Swift Blvd, Richland. Call 942-2600 to register.

w Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kennewick Senior Center, 500 S. Auburn. Call 585-4303 to register.

w Nov. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Othello High School Library, 65 E. Juniper. Call 488-6195 to register.

w Nov. 16-17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brookdale-Wynwood Columbia Edgewater, 1629 George Washington Way, Richland. Call 943-4979 to register.

w Nov. 17-18 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Central Church, 1124 Stevens Drive, Richland. Call 946-6913 to register.

w Nov. 18-19 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive. Call 942-7529 to register.

Educators' group to donate books, goodies

The Pasco Association of Educators is donating bilingual children's books and baby blankets to Lourdes Medical Center in honor of American Education Week Nov. 15-21.

The association also will hand out goody bags to all teachers in the Pasco School District with items including hand sanitizer, tips for successful parent conferences, pens and mints.
