HERMISTON -- The Hermiston Public Library will be hosting a book signing by author Keith Kirkwood of the Eastern Oregon area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday in the main library, 235 E. Gladys Ave. His book Send 'em to the Deep will be available.
Send 'em to the Deep is about a new way of fighting the war on drugs in the United States by stopping the flow of drugs from Colombia to Cuba. The book tells the story of six men and one woman who form a covert team hired by the government.
Kirkwood was born and raised in Eastern Oregon. After graduating from high school he joined the Air Force and served during the Korean conflict. Returning home, he worked as a police officer, judge and investigator, where he worked with both the FBI and DEA.
