A public service will be Friday afternoon at the Franklin County Courthouse to memorialize the late Superior Court Judge Robert S. Day.
Day, 86, died Saturday from a heart condition. He is survived by his wife Gloria and their sons, Brian of Renton and Donald of Brightwood, Ore.
The service to celebrate Day's life is scheduled for 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in the courthouse.
Retired Judge Duane Taber, Day's best friend and former colleague, will preside over the service. Ken Miller, president of the Benton-Franklin Bar Association, is expected to speak.
Day was appointed to the Benton-Franklin Superior Court bench in 1977 and retired in January 1989.
