Kenn Nesbitt, a children's poet from Spokane, will be making the circuit of 11 libraries in the Mid-Columbia Library System in Benton, Franklin and Grant counties next week.
The author of several books of poetry for children, including Santa Got Stuck in the Chimney and When the Teacher Isn't Looking: And Other Funny School Poems, will perform for "Comedy & Poetry for Kids" as part of the Mid-Columbia Libraries annual summer reading program.
The free programs are:
w Monday -- 1 p.m. at Merrill's Corner Library, 5240 Eltopia W. in Eltopia; and 4 p.m. at Connell Library, 118 N. Columbia St.
w Tuesday -- 2 p.m. at the West Richland Library, 3803 W. Van Giesen St.; 4:30 p.m. at the Prosser Library, 902 Seventh St.; and 7 p.m. at the Benton City Library, 810 Horne Road.
w Wednesday -- 10 a.m. at the Keewaydin Park Library, 405 S. Dayton St. in Kennewick; 2 p.m. at the Kennewick Library, 1620 S. Union St.; and 6 p.m. at the Pasco Library, 1320 W. Hopkins St.
w Thursday -- 10 a.m. at the Kahlotus Library, 225 E. Weston St.; 1 p.m. at the Othello Library, 101 E. Main St.; and 4 p.m. at the Basin City Library, 50-A N. Canal Blvd.
