Hanford worker who fell still in stable condition

By the Herald staff

A Hanford worker who fell from a 50-foot-high catwalk Wednesday remained hospitalized in stable condition at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

The worker, whose identity has not been released, fell through an access door to a catwalk in the 336 Building just north of Richland. His fall was broken by a ladder railing, preventing him from hitting the floor with full force.

The Department of Energy described his injuries as serious but not life-threatening.
