The Environmental Protection Agency says the owners of a Central Washington property where an illegal pesticide dumpsite was found will clean it up.
An EPA news release Wednesday says that the owners of the Grandview property are expected to complete the work under EPA supervision over the next 45 days.
They also will investigate a second possible burial site.
Acting on a tip, EPA and two Washington agencies began investigating the site March 17. Close to 100 containers have been pulled from the site so far, many containing contaminants such as used motor oil, heavy metals and pesticides.
