A 22-year-old Moses Lake man is at a Seattle hospital after he was thrown from a Jeep in a rollover crash on Interstate 90 at Moses Lake, the Washington State Patrol said.
Alcohol and speed are suspected of being factors in the crash, authorities said.
Robert R. Tindall Jr. was a passenger in the wreck that happened at 8:44 p.m. Monday on I-90 at the Westshore Drive exit at the Moses Lake city limits, troopers said.
Tindall is in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Haborview Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Another passenger, Dustin G. Upky, 21, of Moses Lake, was also taken to Haborview and is in satisfactory condition.
Andria Merrill, 30, of Moses Lake, lost control of her 1974 Jeep when she took the exit too fast, troopers said. The Jeep left the road and overturned.
Tindall, the rear passenger, was thrown out. He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
Merrill and Upky were wearing their seat belts, troopers said. Merrill was treated at Samaritan Hospital.
