Some of the speakers include U.S. Reps. Doc Hastings, R-Wash., and Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash.; Anita Decker, chief operating officer for the Bonneville Power Administration; and from the Army Corps of Engineers, Col. Miroslav Kurka, deputy commander, and Witt Anderson, director of programs.

Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire will also be addressing the group by video.

Topics include the challenges to protect the hydrosystem, the affect of climate change, role of the hydrosystem for energy and the environment, the latest on the biological opinion and the importance of keeping the public informed about the benefits of the region's dams.
