Woman in wheelchair hit; white SUV sought

By Paula Horton, Herald staff writer

The driver of a white SUV is being sought after a hit-and-run accident involving a woman in a motorized wheelchair, police said.

The SUV should have damage to the front passenger-side fender, Kennewick police said.

The accident occurred around 10:20 p.m. Sunday on the 500 block of West 10th Avenue.

Dianna Law, 48, of Kennewick, was in her wheelchair going west on 10th Avenue in the eastbound lanes when she was hit, police said. She had been in the parking lane but moved to the eastbound lanes because a parked vehicle was in her way.

The driver of the SUV made no attempt to stop and continued eastbound on 10th Avenue, police said.

Law was taken to Kennewick General Hospital, but her condition was not available Monday.

Anyone with information about the incident or the location of the white SUV is asked to call Kennewick police at 628-0333.
