Libraries plan cowboy music events

Mid-Columbia libraries is sponsoring a series of free public programs called "Songs of the Cowboy" to be performed at various branch libraries in October.

The presenter is Hank Cramer, a traveling folksinger and historian from Washington, who performs original, traditional and contemporary music that blends history and culture.

The first program will be at 4 p.m. Oct. 13, at the Kahlotus Library, E. 255 Weston St., followed by a 7 p.m. performance at Keewaydin Park Library, 405 S. Dayton St., Kennewick.

Performances for Oct. 14 will be at 5 p.m. at the Basin City Library, 50-A N. Canal Blvd. The 7 p.m. song program will be at the Kennewick Library, 1620 S. Union St.

On Oct. 15, a performance will be held at 4:30 p.m. at Merrill's Corner Library, 5240 Eltopia West Road, Eltopia. There also will be a 7 p.m. performance at the Connell Library, 118 N. Columbia Ave.

The cowboy music will continue Oct. 16 at 3:30 p.m. at the Othello Library, 101 E. Main St., and at 7 p.m. at the Pasco Library, 1320 W. Hopkins St.

Two performances are set for Oct. 17, at 3:30 p.m. at the Prosser Library, 902 Seventh St., and at 7 p.m. at the West Richland Library, 3803 W. Van Giesen St.

The final performance will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Benton City Library, 810 Horne Drive.
