Comments sought on transit fare increases

RICHLAND -- Ben Franklin Transit wants to know what you think of a proposed fare increase for night and vanpool services.

The proposed changes will make night rides costlier by $1.25 after 11 p.m. and increase vanpool fares by 5 percent.

You can share your views at public hearings at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. today at the Three Rivers Transit Center, 7109 W. Okanogan Place, Kennewick.

The increases, if approved, would go into effect Oct. 20 for the night service, and Nov. 1 for vanpool rides.
