Bicyclist breaks leg after being hit by car

By the Herald staff

A bicyclist broke his leg Wednesday night after a car ran into him on Columbia Park Trail, Kennewick police said.

Arthur D. Tollison, 64, of Pasco, was riding his bike eastward with required lighting just east of the Edison Street boat launch when the car hit him head-on about 8 p.m., Officer Juan Dorame said in a news release. He was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, where a nursing supervisor said he was in stable condition late Wednesday. Police are continuing to investigate.
