MOSES LAKE -- Two teenage boys were arrested after a school resource officer found a stolen shotgun and pistol in a vehicle at Moses Lake High School, police said.
The guns were found when the officer contacted a 17-year-old inside a vehicle while investigating a truancy complaint, said Moses Lake police Capt. Dave Ruffin.
The firearms had been stolen Aug. 19 from a vehicle in Moses Lake, he said.
The teen was arrested and officers also determined a 16-year-old had been involved in the original theft, Ruffin said.
He also was arrested.
Both were booked into the Grant County juvenile facility on suspicion of vehicle prowling, theft of firearms and possessing weapons on school grounds.
