Moses Lake teen held after break-in, gun theft

By Paula Horton, Herald staff writer

Moses Lake police arrested a 19-year-old Moses Lake man suspected of breaking into a neighbor's home and stealing several weapons, police said.

The burglary occurred in the 1400 block of Marina Drive sometime between Sunday and Tuesday, Capt. Dave Ruffin said.

Several rifles, shotguns and handguns were stolen, he said. None of the weapons has been found.

David E. Chapman was arrested Tuesday at his Marina Drive home, Ruffin said. He was booked into the Grant County jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary and possessing stolen property.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Moses Lake police Detective Juan Rodriguez at 766-9230.
