Appellation: Columbia Valley
This small winery based in Yakima is run by Tony and Linda Haralson, two longtime Washington wine enthusiasts who took the next step by planting grapes and eventually opening a winery. They came up with the name by combining parts of their first names (Anthony and Linda). Tropical notes, pineapple and a whiff of oak launch this wine. On the tongue, its pineapple elements lead, backed by sweet apple flavors, a twist of lemon acidity and a close that displays a bit of caramel from its oak. It won a gold medal at the recent Great Northwest Wine Competition. Note: This wine will be released this month. Alcohol: 13.9 percent.
