Parent volunteers and their children at Jason Lee Elementary School sort about 1,700 donated food items collected during the Richland school's Apple Cup food drive. Students and staff participated in the friendly competition between University of Washington and Washington State University fans. Cougar fans won this year with 957 donated items. The food will be distributed to 13 needy families at the school.
