WSU Tri-Cities graduation 2013
More than 400 graduates walked in the Commencement ceremony for Washington State University Tri-Cities on May 10, 2013, at the Toyota Center in Kennewick. WSU Tri-Cities conferred a total of seven doctoral degrees, 92 master's degrees and 318 bachelor's degrees for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Sal Mendoza Jr., was sworn in as Benton-Franklin Superior Court's newest judge Monday. Mendoza is replacing Judge Craig Matheson, who retired April 30 after serving 26 years on the bench. The M Hotel in Richland hosted the first Tri-Cities Flame Off on April 26, featuring a glassblowing competition, 16 vendors and 18 music acts. "I want to get the glass art scene out there more," says organizer Chris Barwick, who wants to make it an annual event.
