Nebraska is back in Tri-Cities. Done in glorious black and white by one of Hollywood's best storytellers, Alexander Payne, Nebraska follows Woody Grant's quest to collect the $1 million he thinks a publishing outfit has awarded to him. We all know the award isn't real, and the promotion is designed to get people to buy magazines. Woody, who is old, alcohol-addled and stubborn, is determined to go to Nebraska and collect his prize.
Bruce Dern and June Squibb are Golden Globe-acting nominees, Payne got a director nod and the movie is in the best comedy or musical category.
It's my favorite movie of 2013.
