Richland will combine two of its annual summer events into one -- City Fair and National Night Out -- and that happens from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 5 at John Dam Plaza.
City Fair is an exhibition of city services that include big rigs, displays and demonstrations. National Night Out focuses on crime prevention and safety. Both events provide residents with a bigger and better community event rolled up in one, city officials said.
There also will be food vendors and live music with the Java Tones, along with a dunk tank, raffle drawing for two child bicycles and free ice cream.
John Dam Plaza will be closed for the big rigs, but parking will be available at Richland City Hall or the Federal Building. John Dam Plaza sits between Jadwin Avenue and George Washington Way, across from the Federal Building.
