The Living Culture Village is open May 24 through Aug. 30 at the Tamstslikt Cultural Institute next to the Wildhorse Casino in Pendleton.
Visitors can view replicas of traditional and prehistoric structures of the Plateau Indian people and participate in activities while village interpreters demonstrate atlatl throwing, how to set up a teepee and cooking food in ancient style.
For more information, go to www.tamastslikt.org. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $6 for students. Ages 5 and younger are free, and family rates are available.
