The Mid-Columbia Mastersingers spring concert is called Perfect Pairing and features the music of Chicago composers Paul Carey and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. May 9-10 with a 3 p.m. matinee performance May 11 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, at the corner of 10th Avenue and Olympia Street in Kennewick.
Admission to the concerts is by season pass to the Mastersingers season. Or single tickets are $22 at the door. Ages 18 and younger are free.
The May 11 concert will honor moms for Mother's Day with all mothers receiving free admission.
Carey is wrapping up a weeklong artist-in-residence gig with the Mastersingers. A composition he wrote during that week, A Civil War Requiem, is one of the featured pieces to be performed.
Other featured works include Williams' O Taste and See and Three Shakespeare songs, which Williams wrote for a capella choir.
There also will be a Behind the Music talk 30 minutes before each concert starts to give the audience some history of the music they will hear.
