Tri-City skaters will spin, leap and glide to a medley of holiday favorites at the Holiday Celebration on Ice show.
About 30 figure skaters will show off their skills at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Toyota Arena, 7016 W. Grandridge Blvd., in Kennewick.
Skaters ages 3 to 25 will dazzle spectators with choreographed performances to such holiday favorites as Let it Snow, Jingle Bells and Santa Claus is Coming to Town, said Robin Hudson, Tri-Cities Figure Skating Club president.
This year's show also will feature a number honoring Hanukkah, she said.
The skaters range from beginners to competitors.
The 90-minute show will be a combination of group numbers, duets and solos, Hudson said. Skaters created their own duets, and Tri-City coaches Jenny Bond, Craig Bond and Whitney McMillin arranged the rest of the numbers.
Expect to see some skaters pull off axels, loops and toe loops. Other moves not to miss include a Russian split jump, layback and camel spins and a haircutter -- a layback spin where the free foot is pulled to the skater's head.
The show is a chance to relax and enjoy the holiday season while supporting the local club and skaters, Hudson said.
"Come and get away from all the hustle and bustle," she said.
Tickets are $3 per person, and kids ages 3 and under are free. The Toyota Arena's concession stand will be open.
