Family Portrait in Black and White, a Ukrainian-made documentary, will be shown at 8 p.m. Sept. 7 in the Battelle Auditorium, on Battelle Boulevard off George Washington Way, Richland.
The film is not rated. It follows the struggles of Olga Nenya, who fights tooth and nail to raise her brood of 16 bi-racial black orphans amid the harsh realities of living in a population of Slavic blue-eyed blondes.
Admission is $4 adults, $2 children. Tickets are available at the door.
