The wacky and musical teachers who make goofy faces and rock up a storm of fun for kids will once again entertain in the Tri-Cities starting Aug. 1.
Jack Forman, Daron Henry and Drew Holloway make up this trio of funny guys who make learning and music memorable and fun. All three are grade-school teachers in the Seattle area by day, but when the weekends, summers and holidays roll around, they tour the country performing funny songs that encourage kids to learn.
The band has a new album out, In Tents, that features this lineup of silly songs: Carousel, Popcorn, Human Cannonball, Sit and Spin and The Dancin' Bear.
The guys all met while working in the same Seattle area school but now teach at different schools. But they stuck together musically and formed Recess Monkey in 2005.
Recess Monkey has been praised by critics with USA Today, AOL's Parent Dish and National Public Radio.
Their bestselling albums include Welcome to Recess Monkey Town, Aminal House, Tabby Road, Field Trip, The Final Funktier and Flying!
