Benton City's annual Winterfest celebration is Dec. 10 at Kiona-Benton City High School, 1205 Horne Road.
Festivities include a parade, a Wii competition, holiday music, arts and crafts, specialty food booths, a gingerbread house contest and carnival games as well as a visit from Santa.
Most festivities happen from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the high school. The parade starts at 5 p.m. in the downtown area of town. The parade will have floats, boats on trailers, vehicles, farm equipment and marching bands all decked out in holiday finery.
The parade starts at Ki-Be Middle School, 1107 Grace Ave., and travels down Ninth Street, ending at the park-n-ride lot.
After the parade, there will be an official tree lighting ceremony at the town's big tree next to U.S. Bank building on main street, and caroling at the community center, 806 Dale Ave., at City Park.
