Fifteen bachelors in the Mid-Columbia are willing to put themselves on the auction block for a clock.
But not just any old clock. This clock will stand in the heart of downtown Prosser, a testament to the city's historic appeal, says Alisa Groenen, executive director of the Historic Downtown Prosser organization.
"It is going to be a standing street clock much like those seen in Walla Walla and Kennewick," she said. "It will most likely stand in front of the Prosser mural."
The bachelors offering themselves up for the cause are anywhere from age 22 to 80, which means there's something for women of all ages.
Never miss a local story.
The Bachelor Auction: Handymen & Hunks event is June 23 in the Green Room at the historic Princess Theatre, 1228 Meade Ave., in downtown Prosser. Cost is $35 in advance or $40 at the door. The price includes dinner and wine. For advance tickets, go to www.historicprosser.org.
