The Gathering is a time for musical celebration with a spiritual twist.
That event -- titled The Gathering 2011 -- happens May 4-6 at Bethel Church in Richland and features the energetic sounds of Christian music with Phil Wickham, Charlie Hall, Arise and a special appearance by Nick Vujicic.
Wickham is a contemporary singer/songwriter from San Diego. Hall is a worship leader and songwriter from Oklahoma City. Arise, a Canadian-based Christian rock band.
Vujicic, 24, is a a minister and motivational speaker known world wide for his inspirational talks. He was born without any arms or legs and still found humor and success in life.

He earned degrees in accounting and financial planning and at age 17 started his own nonprofit organization called Life Without Limbs.
Vujicic kicks off The Gathering with leadership seminar starting at 6:30 p.m. May 4 in the Art Fuller Auditorium at Kennewick High School.
Then on May 5, Wickham will lead the music starting at 6:30 p.m. at Bethel Church, 600 Shockley Road in Richland. On May 6, Hall performs starting at 6:30 p.m. Arise opens for Wickham and Hall.
There will be a selection of other guest speakers interspersed within the musical entertainment.
