If you're looking for ideas to upgrade your kitchen, need new flooring or furniture for the patio, you will find it among the more than 200 exhibitors at the annual Regional Home and Garden Show on Feb. 25-27.
The show, presented by the Home Builders Association of Tri-Cities, will be at TRAC, 6600 Burden Blvd., Pasco.
While you're looking around the house, snap a few pictures of your kitchen appliances. Upload them to www.949thewolfpack.com, add a paragraph about why you'd like to replace them and you may win a new set of appliances worth $3,500, courtesy of the HBA, Fred's Appliance and 94.9 The Wolf.
More than 11,000 people attended the event last year and the Home Builders Association is hoping for even bigger crowds this year.
The TRAC building offers one unique feature that helps set the Tri-Cities show apart from others in our region, the dirt-floored arena. It's where the "Garden and Outdoor Living" exhibits are set up and contractors take advantage of being able to actually dig in the dirt. It's not unusual to see full-sized swimming pools.
Admission to the show includes a variety of free seminars. A family-fun area at the show is the Kidstruction Zone, an area where parents and children can participate in fun activities, such as decorating "hard hats."
Admission is $6 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Anyone who brings in a nonperishable food item will receive $1 off the admission price. Admission is good for the entire weekend.
Show hours are: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 25, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 26 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 27.
