HERMISTON -- Kick up your heels at the 31st annual Wild Hogs Western Wine and Cheese Festival presented by KOHU/KQFM and the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 9.
For a few hours, the Hermiston Conference Center will be transformed into a Southwestern town. So grab your chaps and boots, be sure to bring out your inner outlaw and dance to tunes from Rodeo Rose. Later, put on your poker face, get your chips at the Old West Federal Credit Union window and try your luck at the card tables.
The local posse will round up friend and foe in the Gifford Medical Jailhouse. Better buy a get out of jail card, or you'll be doing some hard time.
Gather around the Fiesta Foods Shack for a buffet-style Mexican dinner and chow down on Safeway's fabulous selection of hors d'oeuvres and cheeses. Afterward, pony up to the no-host Broken Spoke Cantina for regional wines.
Never miss a local story.
There also will be drawings for prizes, including tickets to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
The festival runs from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Tickets are $18. For more information or tickets, call the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce at 541-567-6151.
The Hermiston Conference Center is at 415 Highway 395.
