If it's summer, it's time for Monday night music in the park next to the river in Boardman and Irrigon.
The traditional Music in the Parks concert series will feature 10 concerts, beginning at 7 p.m. June 14 at Marina Park in Boardman, said Kathie McGowan, one of the organizers.
Irrigon also has a Marina Park along the Columbia River, and the towns will take turns playing host to the concerts that run through Aug. 16.
Admission is free.
Featured entertainers for the opening concert are Jeannette Lorang and Ted Vanderford.
"They sing country, blues, swing and top it off with a bunch of comedy," McGowan said. "Jeannette plays keyboards and sings while sax man Ted backs her up."
Admission is free to both parks, and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
