Here's some holiday events happening around the Mid-Columbia.
◗ Pasco's Luminaria starts at 6 p.m. Dec. 19 in the Desert Plateau neighborhood off Argent Road in Pasco. For more than two decades, the residents of Desert Plateau have banded together to celebrate the holidays with its luminaria, which features about 25,000 candlelit bags weighted down with sand and each house gaily decorated for Christmas.
◗ The Bells of the Desert handbell choir perform a concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the First Presbyterian Church, 2001 W. Kennewick Ave., Kennewick. Admission is free but donations will be accepted adn donated to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Support Services programs. The concert features Christmas music performed by soloists, ensembles, as well as a full choir.
◗ Home for Christmas concert, featuring Monte Ingersoll, Mel Haug, and the Studio Singers, starts at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 in the Windemere Theatre at the Toyota Center in Kennewick. Tickets are now on sale and are from $17 to $37 plus service charges and available at www.ticketmaster.com or the Toyota Center box office. Tickets purchased at the box office avoid service charges.

◗ ZooLights runs through Jan. 3 at the Oregon Zoo in Portland. Millions of colorful holiday lights are strung throughout the zoo grounds as well as animation displays. Hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Guests have one hour past closing time to make their way back to the front gate. During this time, lights and other activities continue until the gates close. ZooLights is closed Dec. 24-25. Admission is $10.75 for ages 12 to 64, $9.25 for ages 65 and older, $7.75 for ages 3 to 11 and free for ages 2 and under and includes a ride on the zoo train. More info at www.oregonzoo.org.
