50-word statement: I have been teaching in public schools of Washington every year since 1957. I have worked with students of all levels, from kindergarten to college graduate level. I currently teach 16 classes each week on a volunteer basis in 7 different schools.
Three priorities: 1. Full and equal state funding of K-12 education, accompanied by a ban on special levies for operations.
2. Establishment of a two-level highschool diploma system.
3. Significant revision of the WASL program, in order to eliminate some important flaws in it.
