When patients walk through the front doors of Vista Veterinary Hospital, staff know their names – whether they walk in on two legs, four – or anything in between.
The practice has five veterinarians and a staff of 20, but the practice is still small enough to be personal.
“When you come in, you’ll find sweet receptionists, caring and attentive assistants,” said Michelle Meyer, veterinarian and partner. “We have five doctors, professional exams and any diagnostics they need.”
Meyer is one of five veterinarians at Vista: Kathy Batdorf, Matt Stidham, Marni Hamack and Sharon Molton. Their goal is simple: maintain the health and well-being of pets. They use a combination of highly trained staff, modern technology and dedication to keep patients – and their families – coming back.
“We work to keep our patients local,” Meyer said. “We can consult with WSU specialists, and we offer ultrasounds, echocardiograms, other diagnostics, so they don’t have to travel.”
Vista Veterinary Hospital traces its Columbia Basin beginnings to Highlands Veterinary Clinic, which opened in 1956. It became Vista Veterinary Hospital in 1981 and expanded in 1996. The facility continues to go through physical upgrades to keep with the commitment to care. In keeping up with technology, they offer prescription refills and medical records online, as well as a virtual hospital tour and new patient form.
