Hollister set to open at Columbia Center mall in new year

Ingrid Stegemoeller, Herald staff writer

A new clothing store featuring gear for "dudes" and "bettys" is coming to the Columbia Center mall.

A 7,100-square-foot Hollister store is scheduled to open at the end of January, according to a spokesman for Abercrombie & Fitch, which owns Hollister Co.

Kim Harvey, marketing manager for the Columbia Center mall, said she can't comment until leases are fully executed.

A building permit for the $210,000 project was issued earlier this month, according to information from the Home Builders Association of Tri-Cities.

There were 486 Hollister stores in the U.S. at the end of August, according to a news release, including a handful along the Interstate 5 corridor and one in Spokane.

Jeans, tops, perfume, accessories and body care are some of the items for sale on the company's website.
