Baker Boyer announces special dividends

Ingrid Stegemoeller, Herald staff writer

Baker Boyer Bank has announced a special dividend of 10 cents per share on top of its regular quarterly stock dividend of 69 cents.

Both are payable Sept. 30 to stockholders of record on Sept. 16.

"The special dividend reflects our confidence in the future and is possible because of our choice not to take excessive risk in either our lending or investment management practices," said CEO Megan Clubb.

In June, the bank was named one of the top 200 community banks in the U.S. by U.S. Banker Magazine.
