Walla Walla's Luscious by Nature has new chef, menu

Mary Hopkin, Herald staff writer

WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla's Luscious by Nature has a new chef and a new menu. Gabriel Rodriguez, previously of Vintage Cellars, has been named head chef of the contemporary casual restaurant at 33 S. Colville St. in downtown Walla Walla.

Rodriguez's cuisine is contemporary fusion with a southwestern flair.

The lunch menu includes a roasted beet and fresh chevre wrap, made with local goat cheese and preserved lemons, a classic lobster roll and pulled pork tacos with a jicama-lime slaw.

The dinner menu is even more dressed up, featuring a Moroccan-spiced rack of lamb, a daily farmer's summer pasta with fresh, organic vegetables and wild king river salmon with lemon butter.

Luscious by Nature also offers brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday and live music every Saturday night.

Luscious by Nature is open Wednesday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Tuesday.

The phone number is 509-520-0424.
