Northwest Farm Credit Services buys Prosser insurance company

PROSSER -- Columbia Insurance Associates has been purchased by Spokane-based Northwest Farm Credit Services.

Dean and Judi Benson, Columbia Insurance owners, and their staff will become Northwest FCS employees as of Sept. 1. Dean Benson will manage operations in Prosser as well as becoming Northwest FCS vice president for Prosser and Insurance Acquisitions.

Northwest FCS provides crop insurance and agricultural credit to farmers, ranchers, commercial anglers, timber producers and agribusinesses in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.
