'The State of Football' at Qwest (w/ photos)

SEATTLE — Last week, I attended my first Major League Soccer match at Qwest Field, and my rare trip as a patron to a sporting event afforded me the chance to do a bit of exploring.
On the west concourse, I couldn't help but notice the wall of Washington state high school football helmets on display.
I've since learned it is viewed as an art form and called, "The State of Football." It was constructed with funding from the Stadium Art Program, which is part of the lease that Paul Allen's group agreed to.
The exhibit drew a fair amount of interest from the futbol fans milling about prior to the start of the FC Sounders vs FC Dallas match. Some folks took a moment to find their alma mater represented within the piece. (Lewis & Clark High School's solid black helmet and cage probably ranks as the most simplistic of them all).
Here's the link to a much better photo of the entire piece, however I snapped a shot of the Columbia Basin Big Nine grouping of Tri-City teams.
Then again, unless I overlooked it, the display could use an update...
