A lot was written over the past 12 months about the chemistry, or lack of it, within the Seattle Mariners.
John Perrotto, among of the cadre of contributors to the enlightening and entertaining Baseball Prospectus.com, pointed out in his latest installment of "On the Beat" that the Mariners' Opening Day roster of 25 featured 15 foreign-born players. That was the most in the majors.
Overall, by my count, 17 countries were represented throughout Major League Baseball on Opening Day rosters.
