FSN caters to Cougar fans tonight

The Seattle Mariners have the day off, so tonight FSN Northwest plans to unveil three new episodes of its In My Own Words series, and these 30-minute segments are targeted at Wazzu football fans.

First up, at 8 p.m., is head coach Paul Wulff, who no doubt will spend a moment talking about his 1-0 record in the Apple Cup — an outcome that cost me two bottles of Columbia Valley wine.

Next, at 8:30 p.m., is WSU product Robbie Tobeck, who retired in 2007 after a long career in the NFL, seven of them as center for the Seattle Seahawks.

And last, but certainly not least, at 9 p.m. is Jack "The Throwin' Samoan" Thompson.

One Oregon Duck friend of mine — yes, I do have a few of them — bemoans the fact that FSN focuses on Washington and Washington State.

Heck, the University of Nike has its own network, for Phil's sake.
