NHL icon predicts Price as ROY

One of the great treats in sports TV viewing is "Coach's Corner," which is aired during an intermission of Hockey Night in Canada on CBC.
Don Cherry, a former National Hockey League coach, is an icon in Canada, and his weekly segment with studio host Ron MacLean can be akin to ESPN's Pardon The Interruption. Cherry is colorful, bombastic, a flamboyant dresser and a lover "old-time hockey."
For those with access to a satellite dish, "Coaches Corner" is another reason to be jealous.
However, I received a tip that segments are available on CBC's Web site. And earlier in March, Cherry voiced his amazement at the play of Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, who might end up becoming the most famous Tri-City American of all-time. "I think Carey will be rookie of the year because he should be rookie of the year," Cherry declared.
Price's stats would seem to back up Cherry.
Indeed, Price has the Canadiens in position for the best record in the Eastern Conference with one week left in the regular season. And remember, he doesn't turn 21 until August!
Earlier in the segment, there was footage of Price in the Tri-Cities Coliseum. And Cherry also pointed out some on-ice, post-game teasing Price received after an apparent sunburn acquired while fishing.
