Why so angry?

I'd like to address multiple individuals who recently have written opinions which were strongly against gay marriage.

Those who are the most outspoken against things they consider an abomination, perverse and unnatural often are the same individuals who act out the conduct they claim they despise.

One only needs to read the news to find the most famous examples of Ted Haggard, Mark Foley or Larry Craig. It appears that those who point their fingers and speak out with absolute conviction against homosexuality repeatedly are caught in their hypocrisy. I personally remember this each time I read or hear someone conveying such opinions. I will continue to wonder why some feel the need to attack relationships which have no real effect on their own life.

Fortunately, equality for gay Americans is slowly advancing. Gay marriage is now legal in Massachusetts and California. Limited rights of domestic partnerships and civil unions are blossoming throughout the country. Intolerance is losing because people are learning that religion should not be wielded as a weapon to discriminate against two adults who love each other. Blind hatred is eroding back into extremist groups like the KKK where hopefully it will go to die forever.
