Belfair Republican Randy Neatherlin has registered to seek Rep. Bill Eickmeyer’s seat in the 35th Legislative District.
That makes it a foursome seeking to replace Eickmeyer, who is not running for re-election.
On the Democratic side of the ledger Belfair’s Daryl Daugs has raised almost $10,000 through January and Belfair’s Fred Finn has raised almost $55,000.
Shelton Republican Herb Baze also is running and he’s raised almost $8,000.
Neatherlin raised $39,000 in his 2006 race against Eickmeyer, D-Belfair, but wound up with just 40 percent of the vote. He previously fell just shy in his 2004 bid for Mason County commissioner. Last year he was appointed to the Port of Allyn Commission and then ran unopposed for the seat in November.
You can find Neatherlin’s 2006 campaign website here, where he describes himself as having “plucky, everyman appeal and bulldog tenacity.”
