Spokane’s Mel Lindauer, a Republican challenging Democratic Rep. Don Barlow in the 6th District, is trying to capitalize on this whole Easter craze by staging an egg hunt fundraiser on Saturday.
And according to the event registration page — because what egg hunt doesn’t require registration? — it’ll be a “hopping good time.”
Cost for the egg hunt is $10 per child. The hunt for each age class will last 15 minutes.
The campaign will also sell you Bunny Bucks which can be used “for game and activity stations, and for the purchase of specialty items and refreshments.”
But get this. If you preorder your Bunny Bucks you’ll get 12 for the price of 10. Talk about value. How can you not jump on that?
According to the schedule the Easter Bunny himself will show about noon. That’s a real coup for the campaign because as we all know the Easter Bunny really should be resting up for Sunday.
