Seattle attorney Marcia McCraw has filed paperwork to run a Republican campaign against Lt. Gov. Brad Owen this fall.
She’ll have her hands full to be sure. Since being narrowly elected in 1996 Owen cruised to victories in 2000 and 2004.
But McCraw might represent the stiffest test Owen has faced since being elected.
According to this online bio, McCraw is the imediate past chairwoman of the Puget Sound Area USO, has been active with the American Israel Pubic Affairs Committee and in 2005 was appointed by President Bush to serve on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
Owen’s last summary report indicates he’s raised not quite $17,000 for his re-election campaign.
