Eatonville Democrat Raymond Harper has filed paperwork to challenge Rep. Jim McCune, R-Graham, this fall.
Unfortunately, I don’t have much more to say. There was a Raymond Harper who once sat on the Eatonville Town Council but I’m unable to confirm it’s the same person in the few minutes I’ve got to type this up.
McCune is finishing up his second term. He was narrowly elected in 2004 when he defeated Democrat Dennis Townsend with 52 percent of the vote. He was re-elected in 2006 with 56.5 percent of the vote over Democrat Jean Marie Christenson.
McCune has raised almost $37,000 for his campaign.
