This year for the Super Bowl we did a house swap.
The guys went to one house to watch the Super Bowl in peace and quiet -- otherwise known as "No kids squealing to watch Dora/Curious George/Arther/Finding Nemo…"
The moms gathered at my house with the kids and the food and the TV for background noise while we discussed the important things -- such as what one needs to buy for her baby due this summer, share ideas for kids lunches, address our kids' learning curves and solve the issue of world peace. Then watch the last two minutes of the game.
I think we had a superb plan. I can talk about the Super Bowl now at work, I got to visit the girls without being shushed, the kids got to play…
And the guys owe us big time.
