2 groups set to perform in Richland on Oct. 23

The Dela Project, along with Rajah Bose and Kim Wescott, perform Oct. 23 at Bookwalter Winery, 894 Tulip Lane, Richland.

Dela Project is made up of two guys from Portland who make music with harmonica, banjo, cello, guitar, along with a few kids toys. Bose and Wescott, from Spokane, play a mix of viola, violin and guitar.

There is no cover charge.

Presentation set Oct. 16 at Norway meeting

Bill Asplund from Wenatchee will present a cultural program at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at the meeting of the Sons of Norway Sol-Land Lodge at First Lutheran Church at Highway 395 and Yelm Street in Kennewick.

The 30-minute presentation features Asplund in period costume talking about the famous 19th century Norwegian virtuoso violinist, Ole Bull, and the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg.

Tall ships return Oct. 23 to marina in Pasco

Daily tours of the Lady Washington clipper ship start Oct. 23 in Pasco.

The tall ship will be docked at Cascade Marina, 1314 S. Fourth Avenue in the Big Pasco Industrial Park during her visit to the Tri-Cities through Nov. 1.

Some tickets are left for the Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 adventure sails. Both sails leave the harbor at 2 p.m. Cost is $55 for adults and $45 for students/seniors/active military personnel. Kids 12 and younger are $35.

Daily tours of the ship while its docked at the marina are $3 and are from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 24-25, and from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 27.

Author to sign copies of 'Early Pasco' book

Author Susan Davis Faulkner will sign copies of her book Early Pasco from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Hastings store in Kennewick.

Starting Oct. 16, tickets for the Larry the Cable Guy Tailgate Party Tour go on sale. The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Toyota Center.

Badger Mountain Park trail runs set Oct. 17

Howl 'n' Scream Scram VI will offer 5K, 10K and half-mile kids races Oct. 17 at Badger Mountain Park running trail, 350 Keene Road, Richland.

Bill Staines folk concert set Oct. 17 in Pasco

Bill Staines will perform folk tunes starting at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 2819 W. Sylvester St., Pasco.

Wes Weddell from Seattle also is featured. Admission is $11 adults, $9 students and seniors. Cost is $1 more at the door. Tickets are at Bookworm stores and the Octopus' Garden in Richland.

Jeff Dunham tickets on sale for show in Yakima

Trail Band to play show in Hermiston Oct. 24

HERMISTON -- The Trail Band concert is planned at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Performing Arts Theatre at Hermiston High School, 600 S. First. St.

The concert is part of the Desert Arts Council 2009-10 music season. Admission is by season ticket or individual tickets at the door are $19 for adults and $9 for students.

Circus of Creativity set Oct. 24 at bookstore

The Circus of Creativity is from 4 to 11 p.m. Oct. 24 at Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Columbia Center. The inaugural event features music, poetry readings, drama snippets, juggling, dancing, comedians and visual art displays. Music includes solo acts as well as bands performing punk, rock, folk, classical and bluegrass. Admission is free.

Women's Expo set Oct. 16-17 at TRAC

The annual event features women's fashions, handbags, jewelry, makeup, fragrances, specialty foods, home decor and antiques. Admission is $7 and is good for both days. Kids age 10 and younger are free.

Bridal show set Oct. 18 at convention center

The Three Rivers Bridal Show is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18 at Three Rivers Convention Center, 7016 W. Grandridge Blvd., Kennewick.

Admission is $8 at the door. Vendors will be showing everything from wedding announcements to cake makers and bridal gowns.

Heritage Station to hold turkey shoot Oct. 18
